Using Concepts from Collaborative and Narrative Therapy to enhance your existing practice with Helen Riseborough
This one day workshop focuses on how participants may apply concepts and ideas derived from narrative therapy to enhance their practice with clients.
An overview of the theoretical and philosophical underpinnings and approaches influencing narrative therapy will be provided with an emphasis on how the power of societal discourses may be constraining to how clients may choose to live their lives.
Narrative therapy evolved from systemic therapy and is often used with individuals, couples and families to work with seemingly intractable issues/problems.
Participants will be helped to apply the concepts directly to their practice whatever their work context with an emphasis on a collaborative way of working.
The workshop will be facilitated by Helen Riseborough, a BACP Senior Accredited Psychotherapist who has had many years experience working with individuals, young people, couples and families within statutory and non-statutory agency contexts and her own practice. She has a special interest in collaborative working and teaching.
Pre-reading to set the context will be provided prior to the workshop
