Ten things all therapists need to know about depression with Rob Abbott
This will explore a range of issues around depression including the idea that depression is an understandable reaction to adversity. It will critically engage with the debate on anti-depressants and consider the extent to which current neuroscience is helping (or perhaps not helping) us to understand more about the issue that is predicted to be one of the three leading burdens of illness by 2030.
Rob Abbott is a counsellor with over 25 years experience as a therapist and teacher. He is currently treasurer of the Solent group and is researching a number of areas including mental illness and critical neuroscience.
